Take a punt on the Say No to Cuck-stye RACE NIGHT event

After almost four years of successful campaigning, the Say No To Cuck-stye team are determined to go the extra furlong in 2026.

It’s a sure bet that developer Fairfax, having been knocked out of the race by MSDC councillors in October – are going to launch a Planning Appeal in the near future.

And the fight to prove once again that building 1,450 houses merging Cuckfield and Ansty is unsustainable – and breaks several well established MSDC planning policies – means instructing the best possible legal team.

“Clearly we are about to enter a critical phase in 2026 and we are in the process of devising a cost effective legal strategy, with a lot of help from the community, to take on the well resourced developer Fairfax,” said Chair of the Cuckfield Society, Giles King.

“Of course to ensure no stone is unturned to defeat the unsustainable Fairfax plan we are going to ramp up fundraising in 2026 and we’re off to a good start with the Race Night event,” he added.

Tickets for the Race Night on January 31st at Queen’s Hall are £28 each, which includes a fish & chip supper.
